Redefining the Impossible

I see that the impossible has become exhilarating as opposed to unattainable, inspiring instead of intimidating, and aspirational not unreasonable….Redefining the impossible makes it accessible.

Chapter 2: Do the Impossible by Jason Dress

As I read the words above this afternoon, I could not have found a better way to sum up a recent conversation with my Mom and Dad.

 Let me back up.

This past weekend I called in the “Calvary” to help us knock out a major todo list on a property we are about to list. The “Calvary” is my Mom and Dad. My family and I like to talk and work, having our deepest conversations while working with our hands.  My dad and I talked while he stabilized the ladder for me. He said to the effect: “Man, isn’t  it incredible that your mom and I own two properties (one a primary and one a STR) on our salary and vocation?” I responded, “And remember Dad how many years ago you were homeless and living in “________’s” house? *(Will keep their names anonymous.)” He responded, “Um ten years ago. Heck, I am thinking about getting another one!”

I beamed with pride and considered it the first reminder of redefining the impossible.

Later in the conversation, Mom said to the effect: “ You know, you inspired and helped Dad and I in all of this.” This was the second moment of redefining the impossible. My mom grew up in a trailer park in a small, rural, poor town in Tennessee.

Homeless ten years ago? Grew up poor in a trailer park and the first to graduate college in her family? Now that IS impossible. However as Jason Drees wrote: “Redefining the impossible makes it accessible.” Maybe real estate is not the vehicle for you to redefine your impossible. For me and my family it has been accessible to the impossible. I believe real estate is the number one vehicle to break generational gaps, pains, and traumas in America.

This is our why.

Thanks for reading our blog. It is wildFIRE’s goal to share our experiences and story in hopes that it may aid others; just as we found much inspiration and education from sources alike!

Now go redefine the impossible in your family.
